July Meeting Report

We had a lovely sunny day for the July Meeting ....

*  We have been offered the opportunity to move our meetings and sewing days to the newly renovated hall at St Luke's Anglican Church in Berry.  After reviewing the pros and cons the meeting overwhelming voted to change our Meeting  venue to St Lukes commencing with the next sewing day ....August 9.

*  The next Sewing Day will include a demonstration/mini workshop of 'Picture Piecing' - come and try out this technique - think foundation piecing from the front...

*  Plans for the Berry Quilting Exhibition in September were reviewed and  will include quilts from the SAlt Exhibition  - a collection of themed fabric art works by Judy Bushby, Suzanne Gummow, Julie Haddrick, Francie Mewett and Sarah Bell Smith. These works were on display at the Sydney Quilt Show and it will be a treat to see them here in Berry.

*  Membership Renewals are now due.  Membership renewal forms were sent to all members with the July Newsletter.

*  Member Sue King was our Guest Quilter for July and shared her travels along part of the Silk Road.  She brought shawls, silk scarves, suzanni and the rug she brought back with her to show ......
