Next Sewing Day - Friday 14 March 9.30am

The next RedBerry Sewing Day is on Friday 14 March at 9.30 am at  St Luke's Anglican Church Hall, Princess Street, Berry.

This is an open  sewing day, you can bring your current project or if you have something you would like some help with, perhaps the Block of the Month Challenge, then bring it along....

In addition, there will be the  following activities:-


*  Make Pillowcases for Oncology Kids with Joy Holmes 


Requirements:-



1 metre  100% cotton,    
or two  0.5 metres of contrasting fabric

Note:  Fabric  Must be Washed  - before or after completion
Finished Size:    18 ½  x 29 inches
Cut:        1  piece   38”x 19 ½”
                1  piece    31”x 19 ½”
Cutting mat,  ruler and rotary cutter
Thread to co-ordinate with chosen fabric
Sewing machine and sewing kit


*  Demonstration of a very easy technique for cutting and making kaleidoscope blocks and quilts. 


Requirements:-

10 inch squares of fabric - a mix of light/dark
 or two contrasting colours
Cutting mat,  ruler and rotary cutter
Masking tape
Black sharpie
Sewing machine  and sewing kit



*  Planning  for the Group Quilt for the SCCQ Guild Show in September

You are welcome to be involved in some or all of the above ....  or just enjoy the company and morning tea!

We will bring irons and ironing boards and a cutting mat and provide morning tea.
