August 9 - Sewing Day - New Venue - Mini Workshop

The next RedBerry Sewing Day - 9 August at 9.30 am will be held at our new venue

St Luke's Anglican Church Hall, 
located between Princess Street and Victoria Street (Access to parking from Victoria Street)

 Princess Street and Victoria Street run parallel to the main street of Berry.  

Coming from the North ie Kiama turn left into Prince Alfred Street and second right into Victoria Street -  entry to St Lukes Church parking is on the right in this first block.
Coming from Nowra .... turn right at the Service Station (Alexandra Street) and second left into Victoria Street -entry to St Lukes Church parking is on the left.

The August Sewing Day will also include a Mini Workshop on "Picture Piecing" -  think foundation piecing from the front.

If you have struggled with foundation piecing where you work from the back, come an try this technique developed by Cynthia England.  We have a sample "butterfly" pattern for you to try.  You will need:-  sewing machine, usual sewing kit, 3 fabrics approx 10 inches square for background, butterfly wings, butterfly body.

If you need help with a project or with the Block of the Month Challenge or would just like to work on your current project,  we hope you will join us.  We will provide ironing board, cutting board, tea and coffee.
St Luke's hall is close to Berry shops for lunch or shopping!!!  Cost of the day is $5.
